Journey

In November 2015, we were called to the mission to establish a comprehensive Christian high school in our area. Through answered prayer, God, “in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Col. 2:3), used Pastor Gil Stiglitz to lead us to Dr. Clifford Daugherty, Ph.D, the Chancellor of Valley Christian Schools in San Jose, CA in February 2016.

Our visit to Valley Christian High School fortified our faith as we observed God's mission for Placer county in action within a different community. The story and caliber of VCHS reminded us that God "is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us…” (Eph. 3:20). With the vision crystallized and the mission set before us, Placer Christian School Association (PCSA), a California non-profit, was incorporated in October 2016. Our mission to build facilities and to launch a comprehensive Christian High School in south Placer County had officially begun.

Over the ensuing months, the PCSA board began the process and study of how to faithfully proceed. It became apparent that God would need to provide land for His new school, so we began to “Ask, and it will be given to you, seek, and you will find, knock, and it will be opened to you.” (Matt. 7:7). In August, 2017, through His faithful promise, we connected with a land development consultant, David Cook, whose unique gifts God used to guide us to the 50+ acres necessary to build.

We are now praying fervently that God would raise up "everyone whose spirit was stirred, and everyone whose spirit was willing" (Ex 35:21) to contribute through prayer and donation. Once the funding for the land has been raised, we plan to raise up a cross on the property as a symbol of God's claiming of the land for His good purpose. It is for His glory's sake--for His kingdom's sake--that we carry out this mission.
